I thought Biden's tears were a very powerful moment. My mom (who is staying with us) heard someone suggest in last night's analysis that it was scripted - I think his lines may have been (just because I'm a man doesn't mean I don't know what it's like to raise kids on my own.....), but that emotion was real and spontaneous, I think.
It reminded me of Hillary choking up on the campaign trail in February, or whenever that was.
OK, so Palin didn't fall on her face. Instead, she lied, ignored questions, went to such absurd lengths to stick to talking points that it was utterly absurd, and *still* showed herself to be a very small duck in a big pond...
