Saturday we went to various tag sales, and Elena got TOYS (her preschool had a sale with a major toy focus), including a plastic house that already has multiple wooden and plastic people living therein, and I got cookie tins and 2 skeins of yarn and a cookbook and the game Connect Four, which totally reminds me of my childhood.
In the evening, Elena and I went to

Today, we were talking about meeting up with my sister, but it turns out that she's in northern upstate New York today (not really that close to here at all) - so we bagged that plan. So, instead we randomly went to Grafton Lakes State Parks, which is fairly nearby - and it was awesome! Lake, sandy beach for swimming, boat rentals (only $5 for an hour in a rowboat!), a concession stand for lunch and a nice playground. And we stopped for yummy ice cream on the way home (I got my favorite flavor - Burnt Sugar and Butter!)...... My eyes were sore and my skin felt dry and tight - even though I wore sunscreen, I could just *tell* I'd been in the sun all day. :) Mostly in a good way. Sadly, Elena had a few spots where we failed to properly sunscreen her, so she has a spotty burn mostly on her arms. She claims it doesn't hurt. (But it's my baby's first sunburn! Skin damage! Aaagh!)
So, some pictures:

This one is for comparison, taken September 2006 - she was even wearing the same skirt! Look how much she's grown:
