I was only half-watching. But there was a pregnant woman who was having various problems, and they finally decided that it wasn't her kidneys, etc etc, failing, it was the fetus's, and that was killing her. So House walked into her room and says you have to have an abortion, and she said she'd refuse to consent, and he said "the fetus is only 21 weeks old and nonviable and you'll die before it becomes viable" - and that's about where I turned it off. They already had an episode this season in which House tried to browbeat/force someone to have an abortion (the other was a rape victim). I ranted about it here (http://kassrachel.livejournal.com/457652.html?thread=2913972#t2913972).
You're right, of course, about the browbeating being a ridiculous thing to do, but I took it in stride. House always does whatever he thinks it will take to make the patient do what he thinks they should, so it didn't seem out of character to me. Despicable, yes, but believable.
I knew House was probably doing that just to get what he wanted, but I just couldn't listen to it again, after he actually did have that conversation with another patient earlier in the season.
