Apr. 3rd, 2007 11:30 amAfter many years of hearing about
kassrachel's seders, we got to go to one last night! It was wonderful and thought-provoking and fun, and provided excellent company (as always, of course). Sitting at the table, smelling the combination of red wine, charoset and horseradish just evoked *Passover* for me, plain and simple, and that made me very happy.
Even more so, it was Elena's first seder, and she handled it better than anyone could honestly expect. She did some running around during the boring reading parts, but nearly always came back to the table to listen to the singing bits. And she looooooved matzah. And she stayed awake and cheerful well past her bedtime, which meant we didn't have to leave early and miss out. Who is this kid? And how did I get so lucky?
