You used to live in Pocatello? I completely did not know that. Every time I go to Pocatello, I get lost if I go more than three blocks from the freeway. However, every time I get lost, I manage to end up in the same area of town, near the mall, and then I can get out of there. It's the "drive around until you see something familiar" thing, which only works in smaller towns.

Yep, from (*does the math*) 1977 to 1981. I think that's right. Haven't been back since - and I'm not sure I'd recognize anything, beyond our house, the school I went to, and maybe bits of the University campus.

Just because SOME people (ahem, not naming any names here) have never left the East Coast, doesn't mean that some of the rest of us haven't lived in a range of places. I was too little to remember much about Idaho, but my parents weren't especially fond of living there. That's when we moved to Elmira NY.
