Ultrasound day! Everything looks normal, structurally and anatomically. We could see the heart beating - and all 4 chambers. The brain, the stomach, the diaphragm - and bones: the ribcage, femurs, humeruses. Just amazing. It kept its hands up near its face, and was moving around a lot. It measures in size right where it should be. It was kicking away – even though I still can’t feel a thing. Big karate-style kicks, no less.

And... it’s a girl! Yay!

This still all seems reasonably abstract, though perhaps marginally less so. But just marginally.
