(no subject)

I was sitting here, vaguely surfing and bemoaning the fact that we are out of ice cream. And then I thought, "Self? Do we still have any Thin Mint Girl Scout cookies in the freezer??" AND WE DO.

My evening's been saved. How 'bout yours?

Oh, I love when that happens!

Me, I stopped at Trader Joe's on the way home from the exam, and picked up, among other things, chocolate-covered almond clusters. :D

Don't look at me. I've got ice cream.

Ice cream AND beer.

Not together, though. ;)

Damn, and here I was imagining a real beer float. Heh.

Yes! I, too, have an emergency reserve of Thin Mints in the freezer. They're a good thing to have.

One of the nurses downstairs is running a decent racket -- she posts "I HAVE GIRL SCOUT COOKIES FOR SALE" on the vending machine every month or so, and never fails to clear out her stock.

That's right, your tax money at work, folks. Gov'mint employees getting chubby on Girl Scout cookies.

Not only do they taste yummy when they're frozen, but I tend to forget about them when they're in the freezer. So they last longer. :)

I need to find a GS Cookie source here. I think I bought these from a group of girls tabling at the grocery store.

Arrrgh! Mine are all gooonnne! How long until they sell them again? Hmmm- it occurs to me it might be worth it to let Sarah be a brownie, just to have a reliable source... :)

I'm coming to the conclusion that Girl Scout cookie time varies across the country, which seems a wee bit lame of them - but to be expected. Those bakers can't make 100,000 Thin Mints in one month and then nothing the rest of the year!

I was a Girl Scout through 6th or 7th grade. I hated selling cookies (that would be the introvert in me, thanks) - but liked it otherwise. GS camp, arts and crafts, earning badges..... it was all good.

The introvert in me hated selling cookies too- but I think it's much easier now. Setting up a table at the grocery store rocks compared to having your mom drive you around door to door!

Or getting your parent(s) to take the form to work and hit up the co-workers.....
