Apr. 1st, 2008 09:11 pm* Seeing Dolly Parton tonight on American Idol reminded me of what I always forget about her: her speaking voice sounds *exactly* like my grandmother (the Southern one, obviously) - the accent, the inflections, even some of the phrases she uses. Yay.
* I dropped one of Elena's cars - made of similar stuff as a Matchbox car, but larger, like the size of my fist - on my toe and was surprised how much it hurt. Well, that's because it gashed my toe open, right next to the toenail. It bled more than I expected, and I ended up tying an ice cube onto my foot for the past hour to stop the throbbing. I think it's better now. I hope I don't lose the toenail.
* It was warmer outside this afternoon than it was inside the house. There were bugs! There are moths fluttering against the windows now!
* Wow, thunderstorms. I haven't missed thunderstorm season AT ALL. Bleh.
