Dec. 16th, 2007 02:21 pmLast night I was remembering the part of The Long Winter where there's a big snowstorm (okay, that's the whole book, right?) and the snow comes through the roof and when Laura wakes up in the morning, she is extra cozy, because the snow is piled on top of the blankets, and Pa tells them not to get up until he lights the fire and warms the house up. This morning, I was thinking about Darkover, and its very wintry climate. I'm sure my brain will come up with examples of other winter books as the snow continues to pile up.
There have been some ferocious wind gusts.
I'm crocheting more snowflakes, but it makes my fingers cramp up - with the fiddly little hook and the teensy thread and holding everything tight at the proper tension - so I need frequent breaks.
