THEN: It was kind of a bone of contention between us - I had always wanted kids, he wasn't so sure.
NOW: One kid, no more.
10) What was your worst struggle?
THEN: Our relationship, definitely. Things were suddenly messy in very complicated ways, and I was very lonely, because we had just moved to Seattle and I knew no one else. (No wonder I hated it there so much. It was a lonely place, for me - the whole 2 years I was there.)
NOW: Figuring out how to balance it all - relationship, kid, work, life, fun......
11) What was your biggest joy?
THEN: Wow. I don't know. I was entering a really bad period. Um, I was really really happy when PP hired me - I remember thinking, well, at least something is going right for me at last. It was a definite bright spot.
NOW: My gorgeous child, finally feeling like I have a plan and a few ideas of what I'd like to do with my life.
12) What did you consider your greatest accomplishment?
Geeez..... My independence, financial and otherwise.
13) What advice would you give your younger self?
You need to try to figure out how to reach out to people. You'll be so much happier if you aren't completely isolated.
14) What would your younger self say to you?
Wow. Is that really my life? I can only recognize little bits and pieces.
15) Looking back, is your life what you thought it would be in 2008?
Not at all.
