I've had such a good weekend! Yesterday I submitted my last thing for this round of classes, and another quarter is officially over! Two down, six (probably) to go! Wow. Now I have two whole weeks till the next classes start..... I have one dire required supposed-to-be-dreadful class approaching, but I'm taking it from a professor I've had before and I know she's good. She can at least make the best of the bad material. The other class I'll be doing is my first non-required class, and I think it will be a good one. I haven't had that professor before, but I hear excellent things about her. So that's hopeful.

I started knitting a sweater for Elena. This may prove foolish, but I learn by doing, and I've done a scarf already, so I needed something more involved. We'll Just See.

Last night I played Team Trivia for a fundraiser for Berkshire Nursing Families. Our team was "Behold, the Power of Boobs" ([livejournal.com profile] kouredios's idea) - and the team was J & J (rabbi and wife), J & T (swell couple), and me..... and [livejournal.com profile] kouredios, who is sick with some death-flu/strep concoction, and couldn't be there. :( We brought in H as our ringer. We were.... really *into* it. The two men were feeling especially competitive, but I can't lie - I was pretty into it too. And by the last few rounds, we were all on edge and just plain jittery. When they announced the scores going into the final question (Final Jeopardy style), we were ahead of the next closest team by 12 points. We bet accordingly, and WON. It was so fun (though the food at the Williams Inn SUCKED). I swear, nearly everyone I know locally from a mommy-context was there. We beat a team that has won 3 years running. Now we need bowling (or baseball?) shirts with our team name on them...... :)

So this morning, the team and our remaining spouses and all the chilluns met at a local farm and had a celebratory maple breakfast! We played around while waiting - fed llamas, a goat and a sheep in the petting zoo, climbed on farm equipment, looked around the sugar shack, etc. - and then ate as many maple products as possible once we were seated. Then we all went outside and stood around and watched the kids play. It was soooooo nice just to be outside. Then we came home and I read books. ([livejournal.com profile] megastoat and [livejournal.com profile] trope, I started Book 3 of Uglies!!!)

And tonight I bought cheapie plane tickets for my sister's wedding in May! We still have to figure out hotel accommodations, but that will work out.
